The 2022-23 Wyoming Seminary girls basketball team
The Wyoming Seminary girls basketball program stresses the importance of having fun and working hard with an expectation that players handle themselves with class at all times. On the court, Sem plays a competitive schedule that enables students to improve their game. In the classroom, students are challenged with an academic curriculum that prepares them for the rigors of college.
The Blue Knights have enjoyed success in recent seasons, including winning the 2018-19 Wyoming Valley Conference Division 3 championship. Alex Wesneski '21 was selected WVC Division 3 Most Valuable Player and Ally Vezendy '21 was a first-team all-star.
The girls basketball team is led by head coach CJ Kersey '90, who previously served as head coach of the boys basketball team. Sem's boys had sustained success for multiple years under Kersey, who guided them in the 2017-18 season to WVC Division 3 and PIAA District 2 Class 2A championships.
